The productivity vendor's newest item includes everything Evernote has to offer individuals plus a number of powerful new features designed exclusively for the needs of business owners. "For a long time, we were pretty much making [Evernote] for me," Libin said. "We were making products that I want to use. Then it turned out to be me and ten of my closest friends. And throughout this whole time period, companies would tell us, 'oh you should make Evernote for businesses. Here's the kind of stuff we want: we need to have continuity of data, we need to have better sharing.'" Libin said Evernote really didn't care about all that business stuff at the time until Evernote the developer became an actual medium-sized Evernote business. The software was no longer just for Libin, but for 300 of his employees as well. Thus, they discovered that the requests made sense and decided to produce a business edition of the popular software. According to the Evernote blog, here are several features companies can expect to find in the upcoming Business version: Admin Console Administrators get access to an Admin Console that lets them manage their company data and who has access to it. Powerful SharingBusinesses can create a Notebook directory that contains content important to all employees. In addition, employees can publish notebooks to the business directory to collaborate with others in the organization. Dedicated Customer Success ManagerTo ensure that all your questions and needs are addressed and help you get the most out of Evernote Business, all Evernote Business customers will get a dedicated Customer Success Manager that’s always just a phone call away. Smart Data OwnershipAny content that is placed into designated Evernote Business notebooks within user accounts is managed and owned by the business. Anything created and stored in a user’s personal Evernote account is controlled by the user. Easy On-boardingOnce a company is set up for Evernote Business, employees can upgrade their Evernote accounts simply by entering their business email address. Simplified BillingEasily pay for your entire organization using a single credit card or invoice. Evernote Business is slated to launch in December, and will cost $10 per month. However companies are invited to get early glimpse of the software by participating in the beta testing. Head here to sign up.
