Microsoft BuildNext Conference Date: October 30-November 2, Redmondhttp://www.buildwindows.com/It makes sense that Microsoft would dominate the IT conference landscape--there are a few shows from the Redmond, Wash.-based giant on this list. Build is the newest--the first one occurred last year. It’s a bit of a trial balloon, but a very successful one. Last year Microsoft didn’t publish a public agenda, and neither did it this year. Yet less than one hour after opening registration in August, the conference was sold out. Windows 8 will be the focus of this year’s show and Microsoft engineers will be making rounds to share information about the nature of designing and building apps for the forthcoming OS (the show takes place one week after the Win8 launch). Other products on the table for discussion will likely include Windows Phone 8, Windows Azure, Bing, Visual Studio 2012, Office 365 and Internet Explorer.
