Toshiba Expands Business Solid State Drive Series

Toshiba's three new PX-Series Solid State Drives combine high performance NAND flash technology and robust capacities to satisfy every customer's storage needs.

The PX02SM high-performance model boasts capacities ranging from 200GB, 400GB, 800GB and 1.6TB, a dual-port 12Gb/s SAS interface, all while maintaining a 2.5-inch form factor. The value PX02AM model features a stanard 6Gb/s SATA interface and is available is 100GB, 200GB and 400GB capacities. Lastly, Toshiba is offering a smaller capacity boot-drive available in 55GB, 120GB, 240GB and 480GB.

“As SSDs continue to broaden their reach into enterprise applications, from web servers to data centers, our customers are looking for a broad set of SSD solutions,” said Joel Hagberg, vice president of marketing at Toshiba’s Storage Products Business Unit. “Today’s announcement further demonstrates how Toshiba is providing our partners with the ability to deliver the best storage solutions for every enterprise need.”

The new family of enterprise Solid State Drives are expected to start shipping the fourth quarter of 2012.
