Bandwidth In computing, bandwidth often refers to the rate of data transfer, but in business it often refers to the amount of resources necessary to complete a task or project. Significance IT staff craving more bandwidth for their systems may do well to remember that management must often weigh "bandwidth" conditions across several departments.
