Earlier this week, Citrix announced a new release of XenMobile, Citrix's Enterprise Mobile Management (EMM) application that manages mobile security and policies, and BYOD user access to various enterprise applications through mobile devices.
Version 8.6 offers features that will provide a better user experience by reducing some existing manual processes. One example is the elimination of having the user enter long passcodes in order to join online meetings. The new enhancement provides a one touch feature that can be accessed directly from the user's calendar. Another time saving feature is an option that auto-dials a conference number and participant code.
A new PIN feature will allow for quick authentication to a mobile user's work applications and will avoid having the user type in passwords for each application. The PIN becomes a master password and is tied to the user's digital certificates to maintain security. This will give the user faster access to applications and information while still maintaining enterprise security.
