The Early 1990s: Client-Server Computing - Data Center History

About 20 years ago, the microcomputer industry was entering its boom time and saw desktop PCs move into the old mainframe rooms. Combined with inexpensive networking equipment that became available, the client-server computing model was born, alongside with the emergence of the idea of colocation and external data centers.
