New Dell PCs, Laptops and Displays for Business

New Dell Latitute Laptops
Dell Latitude 7000 Series 2-in-1Designed for the mobile professional, the Dell Latitude 13 7000 Series is a combination laptop and tablet featuring a 13.3 inch display. Despite its billing as a "laptop first" device, it has the ability to instantly wake from sleep mode, similar to a traditional tablet. The Latitude 13 7000 Series 2-in-1 runs Windows 8.1 with Intel Core M or Core M vPro processors with 4 GB DDR3L SDRAM 1600 MHz upgradeable to 8 GB. This 2-in-1 supports SSDs up to 512 GB and is powered by a 30 Whr LiPo battery with an optional 20 Whr battery in the backlit keyboard's base. Wireless LAN and optional Mobile Broadband connectivity is supported.
A new Latitude 5000 series 12 laptop was introduced along with updated 14 and 15 models, which are 20 percent thinner than previous models and feature "all day" batteries.
The Latitude 5000 series laptops use the Intel Core i5-4210U processors running at speeds starting at 1.7 GHz with 3M cache up to 2.1 GHz with 4M Cache. 4 GB RAM is standard with a 500 GB HDD, 8X DVD+/-RW optical drive and scratch-resistant touch panels from Corning Gorilla Glass NBT. Weighing in at 3.4 lbs and 23mm thick, this latest series is Dell's thinnest mainstream laptop.
Latitude 14 and 15 3000 are thinner and lighter than the previous models. They feature spill resistant keyboards, support for up to 1 TB of storage, and optional touch or full HD displays. The Latitude 3000 series laptops use the Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processors with 4 GB RAM standard with support for up to 16 GB.
Made for tough environments, Dell's ruggedized laptop, the Latitude 14 Rugged 5404, is tested to military durability standards with the ability to withstand drops from up to three feet and IP-52 certification for protection from damage caused by dust and water. QuadCool thermal management gives the Rugged 5404 an operating thermal range of -20 degrees Fahrenheit to 140 degrees and the 14 inch display is readable in bright sunlight. The Latitude 14 Rugged uses Intel Core i3/i5/i7 dual-core processors, and supports up to 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3L RAM. Dell's New Micro PCs
The Optiplex 9020 and 3020 Micro PC's 1.2 liter chassis makes them 67 percent percent smaller than Dell's next smallest desktops. The Optiplex 3020 Micro features an Intel Pentium G3240T 3MB Cache Dual Core with HD Graphics, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD as standard. The base configuration Optiplex 9020 Micro comes with an Intel Core i5-4590T Processor Quad Core 6 MB 2.0GHZ w with HD4600 Graphics, 4 GB DDR3 SDRAM AT 1600MHz, 500 GB 7200RPM HDD. Faster processors and high capacity HDD and SSD storage are available as options.
The small form factor is suited to workspaces where space is at a premium and offers five options for device mounting.
Dell's Chromebox for Meetings
Dell's Chromebox for meetings is a cloud-based video conferencing appliance running Google's Chrome OS. It comes with an Intel Core i7 processor, 4 GB DDR3L RAM,HD (1080p) webcam, speaker with omnidirectional microphone, RF remote control with QWERTY keyboard, and 16GB SSD. The Chromebox for meetings features 1 HDMI and 1 full size DisplayPort++ display port. The included software allows customers to easily configure the hardware and start a video conference. The Google Admin Panel can be used to configure devices, manage video conferences remotely, monitor usage and set security policies.
Dell's New Monitors
The new Dell 55 Monitor is intended to be used in conference rooms or in any application where projectors or TVs are typically used. The Dell 55 has a diagonal size of 54.6 inches with an optimal display resolution of 1920x1080 at 60Hz. It features Full HD resolution with a 3000:1 contrast ratio. The display can automatically adjust its display resolution to match the attached device. Two USB ports offer connectivity to keyboards or other peripherals and the included remote control allows adjustment of brightness and volume.
For professionals that seek the highest possible resolution, Dell touts its Ultrasharp 27 Ultra HD 5K monitor as the world's first display with Ultra HD 5K (5120x2880) resolution. Ultra HD 5K offers seven times the number of pixels as Full HD. This monitor has edge-to-edge anti-smudge and anti-reflective glass. Dell PremierColor technology offers factory-tuned Adobe RGB and sRGB modes for color-critical applications. The Ultrasharp 27 Ultra HD 5K monitor comes with 6 USB ports, a media card reader, and 16W integrated speakers.
In conjunction with Dell's new hardware offerings, the company is introducing the KACE K1000 Express software appliance for IT inventory tracking. This software is a free, introductory version of the Dell KACE K1000 System Management Appliance. The software allows IT managers to monitor system hardware and software inventory, apply BIOS and driver updates, and manage system warranties.

- Latitude 13 7000 Series 2-in-1 starts at USD $1,199 and will be available worldwide in mid-October.
- Latitude 3000 Series starts at USD $640 and is available in Asia.
- Latitude 5000 Series starts at USD $769 and will be available September 25 in the US, Europe and Asia.
- OptiPlex Micro starts at USD $499 and is available worldwide.
- Chromebox for meetings is USD $999 (including one year software support and service) and is available in the US.
- Dell 55 Monitor is USD $1,049 and is available in US and Canada.
- Dell UltraSharp 27 Ultra HD 5K Monitor is USD $2,499 and will be available in the fourth quarter of this year.
