IT Cartoon: ARIN - Now Serving Number 5

By - Source: Toms IT Pro

The American Registry of Internet Numbers (ARIN) is running out of IPv4 addresses, and as Tom’s IT Pro reported earlier this year, the organization is in the process of rationing and recycling remnants of a once abundant component that has kept the internet moving over the past few decades. However, with IPv6’s slow industry adoption and an expected 26 billion IoT devices by 2020, we wonder how a world with limited IPv4 addresses would look like through a cartoonist’s eyes. Thanks to Bill Oliver for the suggestion and Beetlejuice for the inspiration.
