On Tuesday Modulo launched version 8.2 of Modulo Risk Manager, a single comprehensive multi-language web-based platform that automates the entire GRC (Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance) process without the need for an army of risk management consultants. This updated version now includes the first release of the new Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) module along with over 150 product enhancements to the Business Continuity Management (BCM) module and core platform capabilities.
"With this announcement Modulo now offers a solution for Technology Risk and Compliance Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Vendor Risk Management and Business Continuity Management -- all in an affordable package specifically designed 'out of the box' for IT, security and compliance professionals looking to align security to their companies' businesses risk and compliance needs," the company said.
According to a list of highlights, the new ERM module will enable organizations to create risk indicators and expand risk reporting to broader enterprise issues. The BCM module has also been enhanced to include new custom plan and event creation capabilities, enabling organizations to reduce risks associated with crises and disasters. Incident Management now includes tree-mapping reports and custom event creation capabilities, the company said.
The new version of Modulo Risk Manager also features an updated user-friendly interface and integration enhancements, new custom survey capabilities in Policy Management and Vendor Risk Management, and Risk Modeling enhancements through customizable formulas. Other upgrades include support for mobile and social apps, BYOD risk assessments, over 100 new knowledge bases, over 140 reports and loads more.
