Norco Launches Data Storage Servers with Hot Swap HDDs

Norco's New NAS Data Servers

Chinese ODM is making an aggressive move into the networked storage segment.

ODM (Original Design Manufacturer), Norco, announced 8- to 24-bay storage array products as well as 2U, 3U, 4U and 5U SANs.

For high-performance network attached storage, the company is offering the NS1630-2KS-L, NS830 series, NS1630 series, and NS2430 series NAS data servers. The DS1610-1US, DS1620-IMS, DS1660-4MS, and DS1662-4MS were launched as direct attached servers (DAS) and the VS storage servers in the VS800 series, VS1600 series, VS2400 series.

The NS series of NAS servers can support up to 24 3.5-inch HDDs and a total capacity of 48 TB in a 5U configuration. The servers are equipped with a choice of Xeon processors and up to 4 GB of DDR memory.

The DS series supports up to 16 HDDs in a 3U system, while the flagship VS2400 is decked out with up to 24 HDDs and is supported with Xeon quad-core CPUs, up to 96 GB DDR3 memory, and a 1000 watt PSU.
