Panasonic Rugged Tablets Ready for the Jobsite

Panasonic recently unveiled two new Toughpad tablets that offer enterprises durability and security. The FZ-A2 is a fully rugged, 10.1-inch Android tablet, while the FZ-Q2 is a semi-rugged 2-in-1 Windows tablet. 

The Panasonic Android tablet is certified to withstand extreme temperatures, water, dust, drops and even gunfire vibrations. Plus it comes with a 3-year warranty of business-class support. It weighs just two pounds. The Intel Atom processor inside features software encryption and enterprise-grade security and manageability. The hot swappable battery will help power it to 9 hours of battery life. For ports, you get a USB 3.1 Type-C, USB 3, USB 2, HDMI and a Smart Card reader. You can also opt for a 2D barcode reader.

The Windows Toughpad doesn't offer the same level of durability, but it does sport a 6-th-generation Intel Core m5 vPro CPU with 8GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD. It comes with a full-sized, spill-proof keyboard and runs Windows 10. Panasonic claims the tablet can be safely sanitized with a disinfectant solution for health and food service applications. Both devices with an option for 4G LTE wireless connectivity, in addition to Wi-Fi. 

The 12.5-inch, 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution display on the Windows tablet is waterproof, anti-reflective and supports pen input. Stay tuned for a full review once these devices hit the public.
