DellDell has begun offering Ramco's enterprise resource planning (ERP) service to mid-sized businesses as a cloud product.

Described as an end-to-end solution, the Ramco service joins Dell's growing list of software-as-a-service portfolio with features that include production planning, asset management, analytics, as well as HR management, supply chain management, customer relationship management, and financial management.

For Ramco, which is based in India, the partnership with Dell is a significant opportunity to spread its wings and achieve a stronger standing, especially in the U.S.

"We are very excited about this partnership with Dell," said P.R. Venketrama Raja, vice chairman and managing director of the company. "It will help us leverage our strong positioning in the enterprise segment for mid-market segments globally." Dell's Raman Sapra noted that the software will help Dell offer a "completely integrated enterprise-class solution."
