Intel Discontinues Modular Server Virtualization ManagerIntel Discontinues Modular Server Virtualization ManagerIntel has notified its customers that it is phasing out its Modular Server Virtualization Manager.

According to the company the software will no longer be supported in future firmware releases of the server, effective November 21.

Intel first offered the Modular Server Virtualization Manager in Q4 of 2011 as a virtualization solution to enable administrators to create virtualized storage pools and virtualize compute modules via the Intel Modular Server GUI.

The company did not provide any reason for the discontinuance, but mentioned customers who deployed the software will still be able to receive support from Intel.

According to Intel, the software can be last ordered on November 14. The final delivery date is November 21.
